Israel & Elizabeth | A Fragile Life
I got a call from Elizabeth two days ago with heart breaking news that Israel passed away in a car accident that morning. We took their engagement photos not even three weeks ago and had plans to photograph their wedding in Los Cabos in September. Today I am reminded of just how fragile our life is- This life is only a breath. I am speechless, tears running down my face, and heart aching for Elizabeth and their families.
This is what I do know- that God loved Israel more than we could ever have in all of eternity. I know that when devastation comes so unexpectedly, that God's love and comfort comes in like a flood to restore and heal our broken hearts. My prayer is that in the darkest moments of our lives we may find the supernatural peace of God that surpasses all understanding. I know that these ashes will be beautiful one day and that joy will come in the morning.
1 Peter 5:10 says, "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will himself CONFIRM, RESTORE, STRENGTHEN, & ESTABLISH you." I am declaring this verse over Elizabeth and her daughter in Jesus name.
These photos mean more to me than anything I have produced. I am honored and thankful that I was able to capture this season of their life with the little time that Elizabeth had left with Israel. My job became a hard reality after that phone call. Photos DO last a lifetime, especially when its the last memory you have of the person you love so passionately. We all want to remember the way they looked at you, the way they smiled, their body language, and their laughter. We want to remember and celebrate who they were.
We celebrate Israel and the great husband he was going to be one day, and the great dad he already was. We celebrate his life today.
